Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the how can i help mi website.  The handyman service operated by how can i help mi("us","we",or "our"). Your access to and use of the service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these terms.  These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the service.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. if you disagree with any part of the terms you do not have permission to access the service.

Services

How can I help MI provides various handyman services, which may include garage cleaning, hanging tv's, drywall repairs, painting etc. A detailed description of services will be provided in a separate, written service agreement or estimate for each specific project.

Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work must be submitted and approved in writing by both parties and may result in changes to the project cost and timeline.

Payment Terms

Estimates and Pricing

Estimates are provided in advance and are an approximation of the potential cost.  The final price may vary depending on the actual materials and labor required to complete the work

Invoicing and Payment

Payment terms, including the total cost, payment schedule, and accepted methods (e.g., cash, credit card), will be clearly outlined in your specific service agreement. For some projects, a deposit (e.g., 50% upfront) may be required before work begins.

Late fees and Non-Payment

Failure to make payments by the specified due date may result in a late fee, as detailed in the service agreement.  We reserve the right to suspend work until payment is made or place a lien on the property until full payment is received.

Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to the following responsibilities:

 

Access: Provide timely and clear access to the property and necessary work areas.

Safety: Inform us of any known hazards, dangerous gases, liquids, or materials present at the work site before work commences.

Permissions: Obtain any necessary permissions, consents, or permits required by a landlord, local authority, or regulatory body before the works are carried out.

Preparation: Remove or cover any furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and other items to prevent damage in the work area.  Any items left in the work area are at your own risk.

Cancellations and Termination

You or we may cancel a service contract with written notice as specified in the service agreement.  If you cancel a project after work has commenced, you are responsible for covering the costs of materials purchased and labor already provided.

Warranty and Guarantees

We agree to perform all services in a competent and professional manner in accordance with industry standards.  Specific warranty information regarding workmanship or materials will be detailed in your individual service agreement.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

How Can I Help MI is an independent contractor and not an employee of the client.  We are not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the execution of the work, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

We will maintain liability insurance covering all work performed under the service agreement.  The client agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims of loss or damage, save for cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
 

Changes to these terms and conditions

We reserve the right to update or change our terms and conditions at any time.  The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when changes were made.
